Stromtechnika is a leader among those enterprises that offer cost-effective technologies for producing clay bricks.
For many years our company has conducted research on the process of designing and building brick-making
factories. This has led to the creation of technologies that make it possible to generate high profits in the production of clay bricks.
At the same time, the expenses of building factories that employ our technologies have been lowered: Today are much less than
the expenses involved in building factories that utilize traditional technologies, such as those used in the countries of the
European Union.
We believe the following technologies are the most expedient solutions for brick-making factories:
- The dry-pressing method; and
- The stiff-extrusion method.
Implementation of these technologies eliminates the following equipment:
- Drying chambers unit;
- Drying frames and pallets;
- Transportation systems necessary for feeding green bricks into the drying chambers;
- Automatic stackers and pick-and-place machines; and
- Gas equipment and piping for supplying hot air to the dryers.
It also allows the factory to:
- Reduce its consumption of gas and power;
- Reduce the size of its production facility; and
- Cut in half the cost of building a brick-making factory.
We guarantee that if you build a brick-making factory using our technologies you will receive the following:
- High-quality bricks;
- Production costs of less than US $0.20 per brick; and
- A return on capital invested in constructing the factory within 1.5 to 3 years.
The Use of Different Methods of Brick Making in Rostov Region
The total area of Rostov Region is almost equal to the size of England. In this region, brick manufacturers prefer the dry-pressing method.
Thanks to our company's efforts in building new brick-making factories that utilize the dry-pressing method and in renovating existing
factories, this technology is the most widely used method of brick-making in our region.
Out of all brick-making methods available in Rostov Region, the dry-pressing technology is preferred because it delivers higher profits
and produces higher-quality bricks.
In Rostov Region, the cost of producing one brick, using the dry-pressing method, is less than US$0.04.
The use of different brick-making methods by Rostov Region brick-making enterprises:
- Dry-pressing method - 80%;
- Extrusion method on European equipment - 5%;
- Extrusion method on Russian equipment - 7%; and
- Limestone method - 8%.
In the dry-pressing method of brick making, the clay is dried in a drum-dryer until its moisture content reaches 6-7%.
Next a crusher is used to grind the clay into powder. In the final step, this powder is put into a toggle press, where the
finished bricks are made. These pressed bricks do not require any further drying and are fed directly into the kiln right after pressing.
The dry-pressing method of brick making involves the use of kilns that have removable panels. At a factory with an annual production
capacity of 30 million bricks, this type of kiln is only 65 meters long and consumes half the amount of gas and power needed by
traditional kilns.
The dry-pressing method of brick-making guarantees the production of high-quality bricks, using a minimal amount of ordinary equipment.

The stiff-extrusion method of brick-making involves making bricks on auger extrusion presses. This method uses clay with a
moisture content of 12-14%. The green bricks are highly durable, which makes it possible to dry the bricks directly on the kiln cars.
This makes the drying process several times shorter. So, as a result, it is possible to get the bricks completely dry by the
time the kiln car moves from the loading point to the firing kiln. The drying chamber is small and is located on the kiln's passing tracks.

You have probably noticed that in both of the above-mentioned brick-making methods we use clays with low-moisture content.
In our method, unlike in traditional technologies, clay is not mixed with water before forming the green bricks.
This is one reason why this method is so cost-effective. In addition, green bricks made from low-moisture clays have a very
low shrinkage rate. This makes it possible for a factory to use low-quality clays, with lower plasticity, to produce high-quality bricks,
with a very short drying time.
You can see our technologies being utilized in numerous plants that our company has built.
The North Caucasus Research Institute of Construction Materials and Technologies, Stromtechnika, is a leading Russian company;
it has considerable experience in designing and building brick-making factories.
The company's main objectives are to minimize the expenses associated with building brick-making factories and to reduce the production
costs per brick to a minimum level while retaining a high-quality standard of bricks.
Our company is involved in the entire process of building brick-making factories.
Our services include the following:
- Creating design and cost estimates;
- Researching and analyzing raw materials;
- Supplying and assembling equipment;
- Building industrial kilns for firing bricks and roof tiles; and
- Testing out and starting-up finished factories.
Stromtechnika's staff does all the work itself, without relying on subcontractors. This reduces the time involved and the eventual project costs.
It also allows us to guarantee the high quality of our work.
Each year, Stromtechnika builds four to five new brick-making factories, and renovates and re-equips dozens of other existing factories.
The company is able to handle such a large work load thanks to the high professionalism of our staff. The majority of Stromtechnika's
employees have more than thirty years of experience in designing and building brick-making factories. Different departments at our
company have the responsibility for fulfilling various tasks. These include the following:
The Research Laboratory
The company's research lab handles all the research on and analysis of raw materials. Our goal is to perfect brick-making production technologies.
The lab is outfitted with state-of-the-art equipment. This makes it possible for us to conduct research and testing at the highest
technical levels. We perform all operations associated with research on clay-containing raw materials and admixtures. This includes
the following procedures:
- Spectrum and photometric analysis;
- Mineralogical analysis;
- Chemical-composition analysis;
- Particle-size analysis; and
- Various other analyses.
The Engineering Departments
Stromtechnika has a top-notch engineering wing, made up of numerous specialized departments that are equipped with modern
computer-aided design tools. This structure gives the company the ability to create factory designs from beginning to end, in the
shortest possible time, without relying on outside subcontractors.
We develop design documentation in all project areas.
We provide:
- Construction and architectural documentation;
- General plan and transportation layout; and
- Electric layout and a list of electric equipment.
In addition we create designs for:
- Automation of technological processes;
